The bAWSton User Group is one of the largest and longest running AWS UG's in the world. During covid we met every other week ... trying to fill the void as most UGs suspended operations.
We have a well earned reputation for diversity, including having 58% of our 2021 speakers being women or POC.
Our meetings are still virtual as we've developed a following that either doesn't live in the Boston area or lives outside the US.

I worked at the Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory (KBMML) doing language research with bottlenosed dolphins for the University of Hawaii. My Master's thesis was a Prolog model of what we thought the dolphins thought about various experiments. What we mostly discovered was that we humans were not as flexible in our thinking as we believed and that aquatic creatures see (and hear) the world very differently than we do.
As an example, there was a Play Choice experiment where we offered two toys to the dolphins, they picked one and we gave it to them.
They would then destroy the toy. We were shocked and puzzled. After literally months we once accidentally gave the dolphin the toy they had not selected ... and they loved it. In a binary choice they were telling us the item they did not want. Completely arbitrary and appropriate and much too complex for the humans.
